Biography: After a long career as an information technology executive in the manufacturing industry, John changed horses in 2011 to realize a long-term aim of helping people through his work. Since then, as a full-time divorce and family mediator and divorce financial analyst, John has helped over 100 couples complete their divorces amicably and respectfully. He has also helped resolve family business and other family disputes.

The approach of many divorce mediators is through the lens of the law. John offers a holistic approach tailored to each couple, blending legal, financial, communication, conflict-resolution and co-parenting assistance that will best facilitate the couple in developing their own agreements. His approach and demeanor is informal, flexible, friendly and warm. He has great respect for couples having to find their way through divorce and his aim is to empower each of the spouses in their divorce and for their futures beyond the divorce.

John volunteers regularly as a mediator at family court in Orange County. For the past three years, he has served as a divorce mediation instructor for Orange County Human Relations.

John has been through divorce himself. He has two sons and four step-children. He is currently married and lives in Glendora. He enjoys movies, concerts, travel and several sports.

M.A. in Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding from Cal State University – Dominguez Hills
B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Claremont McKenna College
Over 370 hours of mediation and divorce-related training from a variety of providers
