Biography: As a neutral mediator he focuses on assisting the parties and their counsel in identifying and implementing solutions to resolve their conflicts and helps the parties separate the important from the unimportant, the essential from the non-essential. He looks for the parties’ mutual best interest and the real, as well as practical, alternatives. With degrees from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and The Law School, University of Pennsylvania, SAINT-AUBIN started his legal career as a corporate counsel for a chemical company in Philadelphia, focusing on all commercial matters, antitrust and the law of discrimination. As the governments created new bureaucracies regulating environmental protection and occupational safety and health, those realms also became part of his responsibility. After almost two decades of repeated successes in negotiating comprehensive, multi-party, solutions to complex problems, Saint-Aubin relocated to Reno, Nevada, to continue his regulatory and environmental practice in the mining and natural resources field.
His continued successes brought him an invitation to join Nevada’s second largest law firm, where he soon became Managing Partner and a member of the three- person executive committee. He added successful litigation to his qualifications. Thereafter his focus shifted to smaller law firms and the neutral aspect of Alternate Dispute Resolution. He relocated to the Orange County, California coast. He serves on numerous ADR panels, including FINRA, and as a Settlement Judge for the Nevada Supreme Court. He has served as a neutral in more than 700 matters. Saint-Aubin is Av-rated by Martindale Hubbell and in 2014 ranked as one of The Best Lawyers in Las Vegas. He has been chair and co-chair of the ADR committees of the California Bar Litigation and Business Law Sections.
